Mt Hood Wilderness
Twelve Wilderness Volunteers and three Forest Service employees spent three days restoring salmon habitat along Still Creek: transplanting cedars, sword ferns and willows. And broadcasting blue wild rye seed. On our fourth work day we gathered aster, lupine, grass and sedge seeds near timberline, and broadcast them near the source of Still Creek. Day-off adventures included hikes to Ramona Falls, Mirror Lake and tours of Timberline Lodge. Our base camp was at Green Canyon Campground along the Salmon River.
